Habitat
Local Habitat Efforts
Anoka County Pheasants Forever's members are truly passionate about creating, preserving and restoring habitat that benefits pheasants and other wildlife. Our next Habitat Work Day Event will be held at River's Bend Park in Ramsey, MN. We will be working on the south end of the park to clear invasive plants and seed native prairie along the western oxbow of the Rum River. We plan to expand our Habitat Work Day Events to more parks and public areas in Anoka County. If you have an idea for a new project area, please contact us.
Conserving our Natural Resources
We invite you to join the Anoka County Chapter of Pheasants Forever in conserving our natural resources. Learning about the soil, plants, and animals in your area is the first step in conservation. Healthy soils with diverse plant communities produce abundant wildlife populations. There are plenty of things each of us can do to help. Removing invasive plants and planting native plants can benefit habitat where ever you live!
Local Chapter Projects
Every year the Anoka County Chapter of Pheasants Forever has on going projects throughout the community. With our proceeds from fundraising and donations from community leaders, we are fortunate enough to give back, putting all our money in the ground to preserve habitat throughout our region. If you know of a project or would like to learn more about how to help in the effort to preserve your local habitats, please feel free to contact us with any questions.
